Our area of focus this week is Education. Access to quality education is imperative for a strong Siouxland. Community members with higher levels of education often have healthier, more prosperous, and socially connected lives. Educational trends also correlate to future workforce needs and opportunities.

In 2021, we selected key indicators related to our objectives. These indicators were compared to similar regional and national indicators to determine what part of the “Thriving Community” gauge each focus area falls under. Our current indicators put education in the yellow portion of the gauge. This indicates that while many things are going well, there are certain areas that would benefit increased support from our local communities. Check out more Education data here!
