The following chart is the Total Confirmed New Siouxland COVID-19 Cases by Week. This past week there were 201 new cases. This data is for Dakota County, NE; Plymouth and Woodbury County, IA; and Union County, SD.
*On 8/19, the Iowa Department of Public Health changed their reporting to reflect the date the test was taken and not the date the report was received. The cases effected by this change would be linked back to previous weeks.
As of Sunday, January 31, 2021, there were 22,455 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the tri-state area. Charts for April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December can be found, here!
Total Deaths due to Covid-19 in the Tri-State area as of 1/31/21 are 361, up 7 deaths from last week. Woodbury County=186 (up 5 from last week), Dakota County=67 (same), Union County=38 (up 2 from last week), and Plymouth County=70 (same).
**NOTE: On 12/9/20, the Iowa Dept. of Public Health changed how deaths are recorded to better align with what is
happening nationally and are reflected in these numbers.
