Our History

Source For Siouxland has supported community planning and data collection in Woodbury County for nearly three decades, with annual Data Reports presented at community meetings since 2001. The initiative originated as Comprehensive Strategy with data stored with Siouxland CARES as backbone. It was renamed Source For Siouxland in 2019 and expanded to the tri-state area, partnering with Growing Community Connections. Backbone support officially shifted in April 2025 when the Siouxland District Health Department began to provide data collection and facilitation of meetings following the closure of Siouxland CARES.
With support from partners like the Siouxland District Health Department, United Way of Siouxland, and the Helios Foundation, Source For Siouxland turns data into insight—and insight into action for our community.
