The following chart is the Total Confirmed New Siouxland COVID-19 Cases by Week. This past week there were 219 new cases. This data is for Dakota County, NE; Plymouth and Woodbury County, IA; and Union County, SD.
*On 8/19, the Iowa Department of Public Health changed their reporting to reflect the date the test was taken and not the date the report was received. The cases effected by this change would be linked back to previous weeks.
As of Sunday, February 7, 2021, there were 22,674 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the tri-state area. Charts for April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, and January can be found, here!
Total Deaths due to Covid-19 in the Tri-State area as of 2/7/21 are 382, up 21*** deaths from last week. Woodbury County=202 (up 16 from last week—note deaths were readjusted due to the CDC readings of death certificates—deaths did not all occur during this time period), Dakota County=67 (same), Union County=39 (up 1 from last week), and Plymouth County=74 (up 4 from last week).
**NOTE: On 12/9/20, the Iowa Dept. of Public Health (IDPH) changed how deaths are recorded to better align with what is happening nationally and are reflected in these numbers.
